Engineer
As a KRCA TV engineer, getting KRCA DT 68 on the air at the new
Mt. Harvard site above Los Angeles was an important
accomplishment,
in addition to installation of an eleborate MRC
Twinstream STL system
to Ch. 29 in San Diego. Five relay points delivers KSDX 29 to Mt.
San Miguel from Burbank, a system I helped install
during my tenure
at Liberman.
June 1994
to Feburary 2001:
KPXN-TV 30 Los Angeles, California
Chief Engineer
At KPXN, I recruited and supervised the operations
staff of this
full power UHF channel 30. Three studio moves were
accomplished,
taking the facility from an all-tape Infomercial
facility to the
PAX network facility it is now on the NBC campus in Burbank. I
prepared FCC applications for KPXN-DT 38 and have done planning
and specifications for KPXN DT channel 38 to be constructed at
Mt. Harvard near Mt. Wilson serving Los Angeles. Additionally,
as a side item, I also do a small amount of talent
work at KPXN,
where I voice the PAX 30 NEWS at 7pm and 11:30pm
news openers
for those two weekday broadcasts.

1992 to June 1994:
KNET-TV 38 Los Angeles, California

I installed three ADC transmitters for World Television,
KNET 38 in Hollywood, Ca, Sylmar, CA, and Riverside, CA. Also
supported Ventech stations in Houston TX, Phoenix AZ, and Charlotte,
NC

1991 to August 1992:

Specified and installed a groundbreaking synchronization
system at these facilities to make 103.1 a seamless signal from the
two stations along Southern California beaches.

Installing a full power FOX affiliate to serve this
California coastal community was the job accomplished
here.

Supervised tech operations at this San Francisco FM. Set up
the studio for the live audience ìAlex Bennett Showî for this
Entercom San Francisco FM.
